TL;DR: Indian founders and MSMEs don't wake up wanting "legal services". They wake up to a notice, a deadline or a new hire, and need to know what do I file, by when, and what does it cost? This PRD turns Legal Suvidha's services website into a compliance hub: tell us about your business, get your personalised compliance calendar, and buy the exact filing you need, with status you can track.
PRD v2.0 · Associate Product Manager, Legal Suvidha · Shipped (written as APM, rewritten in 2026)
A first-time founder can't tell which registrations and filings apply to their business, so they either miss deadlines and pay penalties, or overpay an agent for work they don't understand.
| Who | Trigger moment | What they do today |
|---|---|---|
| First-time founder (primary) | Incorporating; first GST return; first hire | Googles, asks a CA friend, pays whoever answers first |
| MSME owner | Notice from a department; annual filings due | Relies on a local agent; no visibility on status |
| Finance lead at a startup | Year-end ROC and tax season | Tracks dozens of deadlines in a spreadsheet |
The old site was organised by our service catalogue: registration, tax, legal docs, compliance. Customers think in events: "I'm starting a company", "I got a GST notice", "I'm hiring my first employee". At the start, the website drew around 120 visitors. Organising the product around life events is the whole redesign.

| Decision | Why | What it cost |
|---|---|---|
| Organise around life events, not the service catalogue | Matches how founders search and what they panic about | Every event page needs its own content and upkeep |
| Give the compliance calendar away free | It's the hook that creates buying intent | Some users take the calendar and leave; reminders tied to one-click purchase counter that |
| Fixed prices for core services | Trust; founders fear open-ended agent bills | Complex cases can lose money, so checkout asks complexity questions and escalates to a custom quote |
| Mobile-first | Most founders first arrive on a phone | Dense dashboards get simplified |
